This product has been carefully formulated to deliver TORQ’s unique blend of multiple-transportable carbohydrates and electrolytes to the working muscles extremely quickly and efficiently using research-proven 2:1 Maltodextrin:Fructose technology and all 5 key electrolytes. TORQ Gel forms part of the TORQ Fuelling System, so can be used alongside TORQ’s energy drinks, bars and chews to fuel optimal performances. Each TORQ gel provides 30 grams of multiple-transportable carbohydrates (1 TORQ Unit), which is a significantly greater concentration than many brands on the market today featured in larger heavier packages. The TORQ Fuelling System suggests consuming 2-3 TORQ Units per hour by taking on board our energy drink (TORQ Energy) along with the other more concentrated TORQ Units displayed in the table below, of which the TORQ Gel is one. The higher your perspiration rates, the more TORQ Energy you will need to consume relative to our concentrated fuelling units and when perspiration rates are lower, more concentrated TORQ Units should be consumed and less energy drink. The choice of which concentrated TORQ Units to consume is entirely yours. TORQ Gel, TORQ Bar and TORQ Chew are all optimised with multiple-transportable carbohydrates, so the only difference between them is the texture; Smooth, Soft or Chewy. Guarana:
We have 6 gels which are caffeine-free, but the Forest Fruits and Banoffee gels both contain 89mg of caffeine delivered via natural guarana. Caffeine is a psychological stimulant, so aids concentration when extra help is needed. Caffeine consumption during exercise can help to lubricate the central nervous system to increase muscular power and efficiency as well as mobilising fat as a fuel source, helping to spare glycogen (your carbohydrate reserves).
